November Heritage Scraps Challenge

We've had an intense couple of months here at the Heritage Scraps Challenge. I thought that I'd lighten things up a bit and really focus on the family unit. Do any of you have one of those old-fashioned family portraits in a box and don't know what to do with it? Or do you have a family photo that you've been planning to scrap but haven't gotten around to it? Well here's your chance to do something. This month, it's all about family---past and present!

This month, the theme is "Remember When..."...and (what a coincidence) the challenge will be to scrap a family photo(s) using a mini-kit from my "Remember When..." kit. (This is not a "freebie" --please use for challenge!)

The rules are simple. Your layout must use only items from the mini-kit. You can use more than one photo. As with previous months, journalling is important as you are creating a layout to hand down to the next generation. Think heirloom...

The winner of the November poll (if there are more than 3 layouts) will win the rest of the "Remember When...." kit.

This was a fun challenge to do as I have several family portraits from both mine and my husband's families from my genealogy research. I'm finding that formal family portraits were quite common in "those" days. This layout is a portrait of my husband's G-grandparents and their children. My husband's grandmother lived till she was in her 90's, so it's kind of neat to see her as a girl (she's Ida in the backrow)
